We are Hiring:

Sales & Account Manager - London

About the company

Anspach & Hobday make traditional beers in a modern way. Going from strength to strength since the pandemic, our brewery developed London’s original nitro-porter, London Black. Launching as a draught beer in April 2021, this local answer to Diageo’s Guinness is proving hugely successful, now accounting for over 77% of all kegged beer we make. 2023 saw our External Beer Sales (Direct, Distributor & Export combined) grow by 57% year on year. We are now restructuring our sales team and looking to bring onboard a couple of driven sales and account managers who would value the opportunity of growing our fantastic brand across the independent free trade, working alongside our distributors supplying small and large pub groups, hotels, restaurants and venues.

We currently have London Black in cans in development and this holds great potential for growth both within the independent bottle shops and London's restaurants and hotels.

About the role

This role is to build sales of London Black within the on-trade and off-trade through prospecting and winning new customers, nurturing account management of existing customers, and building brand awareness through trade & consumer events, including consumer beer tastings and staff training. London Black has great potential to open further companion lines in existing accounts and the ideal candidate will be as confident selling our nitro porter as they will, other kegs, casks and cans of Anspach & Hobday beers.  These are London based roles with most development expected within London.

About the Candidate

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of field sales experience in the on-trade beer sector, a love of sales and sales customer relationships and a deep knowledge of all things beer.

We will be looking for evidence of:

  • An ability to build rapport quickly

  • A history of long lasting customer relationships

  • Conscientiousness in account management and CRM reporting

  • A proven record of building and developing sales business

  • A proven network of industry contacts in the hospitality sector

  • Confidence and a can-do attitude

  • Insights into on-trade business models

  • A considered focus on those customer’s problems

  • A demonstrable ability to unlock and keep track of opportunities

Alongside our marketing team, the successful candidate will take part in shaping the marketing strategy needed to meet sales aims. Experience of shaping and executing successful campaigns is advantageous including use of phone, email and social media from a trade perspective.

Remuneration

The salary on offer will depend upon experience but reside in the range from £32-£45K plus bonus (OTE £35k-£51k), plus travel and expenses.

London Black and our brewery are set to grow and this job is an opportunity to be at the heart of that.

The successful candidate will work alongside Director’s Jack and Paul. There will be opportunities to grow within the role progressing to larger sales channels and or to take on future management roles in a growing sales team.
